Science, gender and society: where do we stand ?

From 12 to 14 November MUSE and the Bruno Kessler Foundation Trentino host the conference Science, gender and society : where do we stand ? In a world of scientific research in profound transformation in the interior and in its relations with society, the gender perspective is a key issue. Gender issues underlying the research policy, the interconnections between science and society , the role of science communication to the structural changes in scientific institutions and innovation will be the focus of the three days. The conference is sponsored by the Women and Science and the result of a collaboration between the Department and university research, youth policy, gender equality, development co-operation of the Autonomous Province of Trento , the Association of Women in Science , MUSE - Science Museum of Trento, Fondazione Bruno Kessler and University of Trento , sponsored by the Edmund Mach Foundation , the National Research Council of ISAC and IRPPS . The conference is also supported by the media partnership with Galileo . Journal of Science and Media in 2000 .
