Internal consultant in grant proposal writing and gender equality institutional projects and policies at the Office of the Rector. Besides her extensive international training in fundraising and her expertise in scientific grant writing, institutional advancement, and academic translation, Dr. Alegre has developed a career as researcher in history of sexuality and gender studies. She obtained his undergraduate degree in history in 1996 from the PUCP, and her MA and PhD degrees from Stony Brook University (NY) in 2012. Her dissertation looks at the foundational moment of the Peruvian Republic to understand the conformation of the homophobic and hyper-masculine discourse that is at the core of Peruvian national identity. Her findings have been presented in several national and international conferences and she is currently working on her dissertation manuscript to be published.
